Ranchi, July 6: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Monday held a courtesy meeting with Indian Foreign Service (IFS) officers Mohammed Shahid Alam and Sushil Prasad at the Jharkhand Ministry, where discussions focused on the state’s development priorities, investment opportunities, and avenues for international collaboration.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister briefed the officers on key developmental initiatives being undertaken by the Jharkhand government and highlighted the state’s potential for economic growth and investment.
Soren emphasised the importance of strengthening international partnerships to support Jharkhand’s long-term development goals.
The discussions covered cooperation in areas such as migration and mobility partnerships, wildlife tourism, skill development, education, and greater engagement with the Indian diaspora.
The meeting also included an exchange of views on Jharkhand’s governance model and the state’s ongoing development initiatives.Mohammed Shahid Alam is currently posted at the High Commission of India in London, while Sushil Prasad is serving at the High Commission of India in Nairobi.
Both officers are visiting Jharkhand as part of the Mid-Career Training Programme for Indian Foreign Service officers.Chief Secretary Avinash Kumar was also present during the meeting.
