Paris, Jan 9: Louis Vuitton on September 30, 2025 presented its Spring–Summer 2026 Collection by Nicolas Ghesquière at the iconic Musée du Louvre, transforming one of the world’s most celebrated cultural spaces into a stage for a poetic vision of modern luxury.
Set within the Summer Apartment of Anne of Austria, the show unfolded against an immersive scenography conceived by Marie-Anne Derville, who designed an opulent suite of rooms to create a flowing narrative of reimagined history.
Ghesquière’s latest collection explored “the home as a sanctuary of life”, blending freedom and inventiveness with the timeless glamour of 1940s Hollywood. The designer reinvented the idea of an indoor wardrobe, presenting a series of looks defined by billowing silhouettes, fluid elegance and striking contrasts.
The aesthetic was marked by refined textures and flowing draperies, evoking a sense of comfort and femininity. Delicate embroidery and jacquard prints featured prominently across the ready-to-wear line, adding intricate detail to versatile and contemporary silhouettes.
Accessories and footwear continued the narrative of reinvention, with reimagined bags and a whimsical selection of shoes and accessories offering fresh interpretations of Louis Vuitton’s signature styles.
The show’s intimate yet theatrical setting at the Louvre reinforced the collection’s central idea — a merging of private and public worlds, where fashion becomes a reflection of both heritage and innovation. Through a seamless blend of history, craftsmanship and modern creativity, Louis Vuitton’s Spring–Summer 2026 collection offered a refined vision of luxury rooted in emotion, movement and storytelling.
