Ranchi, Jul 9: Prof. Niranjan Sahoo of the Xavier Institute of Social Service (XISS), Ranchi, has been selected to participate in the prestigious “Being an IP Professor” faculty development programme organised by the Inspirational Paradigm (IP) Taskforce of the International Association of Jesuit Universities (IAJU), based at Seattle University, USA.
Prof. Sahoo is among 20 faculty members chosen from Jesuit institutions across Asia, Europe and the Americas. He is also one of the few participants representing India in this globally recognised academic initiative.
The intensive faculty development programme will be held at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, California, from July 12 to July 18, 2026.
All selected participants will receive financial grants to support their participation. The programme will conclude with a final session in Madrid, Spain, in July 2027.
The Inspirational Paradigm programme is designed to prepare faculty members from Jesuit business schools to become mentors and facilitators for their peers across the global Jesuit education network.
It focuses on strengthening leadership, promoting innovative teaching methods, encouraging values-based education and fostering a student-centred approach to learning.According to XISS, Prof.
Sahoo’s selection is a matter of pride not only for the institute but also for the academic community of Jharkhand and India.
His participation is expected to bring global best practices to the institution, strengthen international academic collaborations and enhance the quality of teaching and learning.
The XISS community congratulated Prof. Sahoo on his achievement and expressed confidence that the international exposure would further reinforce the institute’s commitment to academic excellence, innovation and socially responsible management education.
