Deoghar, July 17: The Deoghar District Congress Committee on Thursday resolved to strengthen its organisational structure down to the booth level while intensifying public outreach and participation in government welfare initiatives during a district-level meeting chaired by District Congress President Rajendra Das.
The meeting was attended by block presidents, city presidents, block in-charges, Assembly in-charges and office-bearers of the District Congress Committee, who discussed organisational expansion, public engagement and the party’s role in the ruling alliance.
A key resolution adopted at the meeting called upon Congress workers to actively participate in promoting and monitoring public welfare schemes being implemented by both the Central and State governments.
“The Congress organisation will actively participate in public welfare and public-interest schemes implemented by the Central and State governments,” Rajendra Das said.
He urged party leaders and workers to strengthen grassroots engagement and ensure that the benefits of welfare schemes reach eligible beneficiaries.
“Congress workers must strengthen public outreach and ensure that the benefits of government schemes reach the common people,” Das said.
The meeting also reiterated that the Congress has consistently adhered to coalition principles in the Deoghar, Madhupur and Sarath Assembly constituencies, and stressed the need for adequate representation of Congress workers in MLA quota-related matters.
“The Congress Party has consistently followed coalition dharma in the Deoghar, Madhupur and Sarath Assembly constituencies,” Das said, adding that “participation of Congress workers in MLA quota-related matters in all three Assembly constituencies is essential.”
Leaders further emphasised that the party should receive respectable and equitable participation in the upcoming Assembly elections, a proposal that was unanimously endorsed during the meeting.
In another organisational decision, all block presidents were directed to identify the major public welfare schemes being implemented in their respective areas and submit detailed reports to the District Congress Committee for review and necessary follow-up.
“Block presidents will identify key public welfare schemes in their areas and submit the details to the District Congress Committee for further action,” the meeting resolved.
The meeting concluded with a call to strengthen the Congress organisation at the grassroots level and enhance coordination between party workers and the public to improve outreach ahead of future political and organisational activities.
