Ranchi, June 2: Leader of Opposition in Jharkhand Assembly and state BJP President Babulal Marandi on Monday made a big allegation against the state Chief Minister Hemant Soren.
He said that he has received information from reliable sources that the Chief Minister and some of his favorite corrupt officials have conspired to intimidate him and implicate him in false cases.
Speaking to the media in Giridih, Marandi said that the government is afraid of his activism on issues related to public interest.
“I have continuously exposed the liquor scam, mining mafia, Jharkhand Public Service Commission and Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission examination scams and corruption in rural schemes. Due to bringing these cases to the fore, these people are now conspiring against me out of personal revenge,” alleged Marandi.
The Leader of Opposition alleged that this is not the first time that efforts are being made by the government to silence him. Earlier also, there was a plan to get him attacked by militants in Shikaripara area of Dumka.
After the intelligence information received at that time, the central government had handed over the responsibility of his security to the CRPF.
Marandi gave an open challenge to CM Hemant Soren and said that now once again an attempt is being made to intimidate me through false cases and character assassination.
The Leader of Opposition wrote on social media, “I want to clearly tell Hemant ji and his officials that if you think that you will scare me with threats and false allegations, then perhaps you do not know me! I may speak less, but I have never backed down out of fear.” Marandi further wrote, “Not only Jharkhand, the whole country knows that even when I lost my young son to the militants, I did not budge. Your cheap tactics and character assassination attempts cannot remove me from my path.”
