Ranchi, October 30: Preparations are in full swing to mark Jharkhand’s 25th Foundation Day in a historic and grand manner. The state will complete 25 years of its formation on November 15, 2025, which the government will celebrate as “Sthapana Saptah” or Foundation Week.
As per reports, Chief Secretary Avinash Kumar has reviewed the preparations in a high-level meeting with the Coordination Committee. Three rounds of meetings were held at the Project Building on Wednesday to finalize the arrangements.
The main state function will be held on November 15 and 16 at the historic Morabadi Ground of state capital. Prior to it Ahead of it, each state district will organize morning processions, cycle rallies, cultural events and felicitation ceremonies for Jharkhand movement activists between November 11 and 14.
From November 18, the government will launch the outreach campaign “Aapki Yojana – Aapki Sarkar – Aapke Dwar,” while a separate event on November 28 will mark four years of the Hemant Soren government.

Later on November 29, appointment letters will be reportedly distributed to around 10,000 candidates across departments, including 9,000 assistant teachers and 342 selected through the Jharkhand Civil Services Examination. Reports further said that Chief Minister Hemant Soren will personally hand over the letters.
Departments have been asked to submit progress reports on flagship schemes such as Marang Maiyya Samman Yojana, Sarvajan Pension, Abua Swasthya, Abua Awas, and Savitribai Phule Kishori Samriddhi Yojana. The celebration will also highlight the state’s social, economic and cultural achievements over 25 years.
Moreover, special programs will be conducted to mark the 150th birth anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda, with events from his birthplace Ulihatu to Ranchi, celebrating the state’s pride, heritage and identity.
