Ranchi, June 7: In all 11 former lawmakers have received notices from the Jharkhand Assembly Secretariat asking them to vacate their flats located in the MLA residential complex of the assembly in state capital Ranchi.
The notice issued states that the rooms and store rooms of the MLA residences should be vacated within a week of receiving the letter, otherwise, as per the rules, further action will be taken by the Assembly Secretariat.
The Assembly Secretariat has taken this action regarding illegal occupation. It is alleged that the family members of the former MLAs were living in these flats for a long time, which the Assembly Secretariat has taken seriously.
The flat numbers 48, 123, 124, 125, 126, 127, 137, 207, 208, 209 and 210, as per the notice, have been asked to be vacated as they are under illegal possession.
Apart from this, outsiders of former members in the store room have also been informed that those rooms have been illegally occupied, which is very important to vacate.
