Ranchi, May 21: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren paid tribute to late Durga Soren, a prominent leader of the Jharkhand state formation movement and a senior pillar of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), on his death anniversary on Wednesday.
Hemant Soren wrote in a social media post that the great revolutionary who played a leading role in the Jharkhand state movement, the pillar of JMM and my guardian respected Dada Late Durga Soren.
Hemant Soren paid emotional tribute to him with the slogans of ‘Late Durga Soren Amar Rahe’ and ‘Jai Jharkhand’.
Durga Soren is considered one of the founding leaders of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM). He not only played an active role in the long movement demanding Jharkhand state, but also gave a new direction to the fight for the rights and rights of the tribal society. He was the elder brother of Hemant Soren.
