Ranchi, June 27: In a significant achievement, Chatra district has secured the top position among the 112 Aspirational Districts in the country as per the delta rankings for March 2025, announced by NITI Aayog during an online review meeting held on Friday. The district’s outstanding performance is attributed to the collective efforts of the administration, various departments, innovative approaches, and effective implementation of government schemes.
Chatra’s multidimensional progress in key areas such as health, nutrition, education, agriculture, financial inclusion, and basic infrastructure was specially appreciated by NITI Aayog. As a recognition of this performance, the district will be awarded a prize of ₹10 crore. This fund is aimed at accelerating development initiatives at the district level.
On this occasion, Deputy Commissioner Keerthishree congratulated the entire administrative team, departmental officials, public representatives, and the people of Chatra. She said that this honor is a matter of pride for the district and reaffirmed the commitment to maintain this level of performance in the future. The achievement reflects Chatra’s strong initiatives and consistent efforts towards realizing the goals of the Aspirational Districts Programme.
Additionally, Garhwa district was recognized for its excellent performance in the field of education.
