IIM Ranchi reports strong placements with ₹1.2 crore EMBA, ₹52.50 lakh MBA offers

Ranchi, May 06: Indian Institute of Management Ranchi announced on Wednesday it had concluded final placements for the 2025–26 academic session with improved salary trends across programmes, including a top offer of ₹1.2 crore in its Executive MBA (EMBA) cohort.

According to the institute, the highest package was secured by a student from the EMBA 2024–26 summer batch for a leadership role, marking a key highlight of the placement season.

Across its flagship MBA, MBA–Human Resource Management (HRM), and MBA–Business Analytics (BA) programmes, the highest domestic compensation rose 4.19% from a year earlier. A total of 96 companies participated in the placement process, offering roles across sectors, including multinational firms.

The report was released in the presence of Director Prof. Deepak Kumar Srivastava and Chairperson of Corporate Relations Prof. Rajeev Verma. The student strength increased 31.15% year-on-year, while average compensation for the top 25% and 75% cohorts rose across programmes. The corporate relations team engaged with 53 new companies during the academic session, and more than 70 industry leaders delivered talks on campus.

In the MBA programme, 72.83% of participating students were freshers and 42.93% were women. Sixty companies made offers, with the highest package reaching ₹52.50 lakh per annum. The top quartile recorded an average of ₹24.83 lakh, while the overall average stood at ₹19.24 lakh. About 22.35% of students received pre-placement offers (PPOs), averaging ₹19.28 lakh. Summer internship stipends rose 23.12% to ₹3.69 lakh.

For the MBA-HRM programme, 40.54% of students secured PPOs with an average of ₹18.86 lakh. The highest package stood at ₹22.75 lakh, while the top 25% averaged ₹20.95 lakh and the overall average was ₹17.74 lakh.

In the MBA-BA programme, the highest package rose 22.16% from the previous year to ₹32.13 lakh. The top quartile averaged ₹27.81 lakh, with an overall average of ₹20.99 lakh. About 13.16% of students received PPOs. Graduates were placed across sectors including banking, consulting, IT and analytics, financial services, insurance and fintech.

Recruiters included firms such as Amazon, SAP Labs, D. E. Shaw, JPMorgan Chase, Wells Fargo, HSBC, Tata Capital, Aditya Birla Group, National Payments Corporation of India, Deloitte, Accenture, Maruti Suzuki and Cognizant.

The institute also noted its debut in the QS Executive MBA Rankings 2026, reflecting its growing global presence in management education. It has opened admissions for the EMBA 2026–28 summer batch.
