Ranchi, June 26: President Droupadi Murmu paid a visit to the ailing former Chief Minister of Jharkhand, Shibu Soren, who is currently admitted to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital. The President met Shri Soren’s son and current CM Hemant Soren, and enquired about the health condition of the veteran leader.
During her visit, President Murmu expressed her concern and wished Shri Shibu Soren a speedy recovery. Shibu Soren, a prominent tribal leader and founding member of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), has played a crucial role in the political landscape of Jharkhand and has served multiple terms as Chief Minister.
The hospital authorities confirmed that Shibu Soren is receiving the best medical care and is under continuous observation. President Murmu’s visit highlighted the respect and recognition the former leader holds at the national level.
Chief Minister Hemant Soren briefed the President about his father’s current health status and thanked her for taking the time to visit during these difficult moments for their family. The visit by the President also boosted the morale of the family and supporters of Shri Soren.
Shibu Soren has been a major figure in Jharkhand’s struggle for statehood and has been actively involved in the development of tribal communities. His health condition remains a matter of concern for the people of Jharkhand, who continue to pray for his swift recovery.

Governor visit Shibu Soren
Earlier on Wednesday Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar visited Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in New Delhi to inquire about the health of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) supremo Shibu Soren, who is currently undergoing treatment there. The governor expressed his wishes for Soren’s speedy recovery.
Chief Minister Hemant Soren also spoke with doctors to get an update on his father’s condition, while MLA Kalpana Soren has arrived in Delhi to be with the family.
JMM General Secretary Supriyo Bhattacharya informed that Shibu Soren’s condition was somewhat concerning in the morning, but has since stabilized. He added that he is personally heading to Delhi to meet the veteran leader, affectionately known as ‘Guruji’.
