Jamshedpur, June 26: Loyola School’s Junior Section celebrated its 66th Annual Prize Distribution Ceremony on Thursday, recognising academic and co-curricular achievements of its students for the 2024–2025 academic year.

Held at the Fasy Auditorium, the event was attended by faculty, alumni, parents and school management. The ceremony opened with an academic procession led by flag bearer Satyaki Chatterjee and featured performances by students.

Kishor Kaushal, former Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Jamshedpur, served as guest of honour and joined the school management in launching the inaugural edition of Junior Loyolean, a student-led publication highlighting the year’s activities.

In a significant moment, Parvinder Dhanjal was honoured for completing 25 years of service as a teacher in the Junior Section.

A total of 280 students received awards, acknowledging academic excellence and alignment with the Jesuit mission of forming “men and women for others.”

For the first time, students from the Foundational Stage were recognised with prizes in unique categories such as Smiling Star, Buddy With a Big Heart, and Tiny Turbo, aimed at nurturing early talent.

Top honours included the Nibhanani Bhattacharya Award for best girl student of Std 5, awarded to Amaira Sawa; the Junior Loyola Award/Chitrajeet Ghosh Memorial Trophy, presented to Faizan Ashraf; and the Runners-Up Award/S.P. Dubey Memorial Trophy, shared by Aaradhya Das and Aadi Rushabh Sheth.
