Ranchi, June 18: In a significant move to boost employment and higher education opportunities for students in Jharkhand, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Department of School Education and Literacy and HCL Technologies for the implementation of the placement-linked “Tech Bee” programme. The MoU was signed in the presence of Chief Minister Hemant Soren at a special event held at the Jharkhand Secretariat.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Soren said the “Tech Bee” initiative will open new doors for students who have passed their Class 12 exams by offering them IT sector training, job placements, and opportunities for higher education. He added that the state government is committed to providing full support to any company or institution willing to work in the area of skill development and employment for the youth.
The Chief Minister praised HCL’s initiative and stressed that the program will help connect young students with the IT sector right after school. He urged students to take part in the program with dedication and shape their careers through the opportunities it offers. He also emphasized that detailed information about this program should be effectively communicated to school students across the state.
Soren reiterated that there is no dearth of talent among the youth of Jharkhand—what they need is the right guidance. The government, he said, is working resolutely to ensure access to quality education, skill development, and employment opportunities for all children in the state.
Highlighting the “Guruji Credit Card Yojana,” the Chief Minister informed that under this scheme, students can avail loans of up to ₹15 lakh without any collateral for pursuing higher education, whether it be engineering, management, or any other professional course. He assured that the government would provide support at every step to ensure financial hurdles do not obstruct educational aspirations.
The event was also attended by School Education and Literacy Minister Ramdas Soren, Chief Secretary Alka Tiwari, Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister Avinash Kumar, Secretary of the Department of School Education Umashankar Singh, Director of Jharkhand Education Project Council Shashi Ranjan, and HCL Tech Senior Vice President Subbaraman Balasubramaniam.
