Dhanbad, November 17: The Dhanbad traffic police carried out an extensive enforcement drive across the city on the instructions of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Prabhat Kumar on Monday. The campaign was led by Traffic DSP Arvind Singh.

During the operation, strict checking was conducted in several busy areas of the city including Hirapur, Court More, City Centre, Steel Gate, Randhir Verma Chowk, Bartand and Bank More. Hundreds of vehicles parked in no-parking zones were fined on the spot.

While autorickshaws, e-rickshaws and cars were issued challans, several other vehicles were seized and sent to the local police station.

Meanwhile, the Traffic police also checked documents of four-wheelers in detail. Vehicle owners who failed to produce valid papers were penalised.

DSP (Traffic) Arvind Singh said the drive aims to strengthen road safety and ensure smoother traffic movement in Dhanbad. He added that similar actions will continue regularly against those who violate traffic rules.

The DSP further appealed all motorists to avoid parking in no-parking zones and to follow traffic regulations to help maintain a safe and orderly traffic system in the city.
