48 IPS reshuffled in 14 districts

Ranchi, May 27: After a major bureaucratic reshuffle in the form of 20 IAS officials, Jharkhand government a day later undertook another reshuffle with transfer of 48 IPS officials in as many as 14 districts.

A notification issued by the home, jail and disaster management department on Tuesday night stated that Tadasha Mishra has been made the special secretary of home, jail and disaster management department.

Manoj Kaushik has been made the new IG of Ranchi. Ajit Kumar has been made the new city SP of Ranchi. Praveen Pushkar has been made the new rural SP of Ranchi. Ritwik Srivastava has been made the new city SP of Dhanbad.

The state government has transferred a total of 48 IPS officers including SSPs and SPs of 14 districts. The districts whose SSPs and SPs have been changed include Pakur, Garhwa, Lohardaga, Simdega, Hazaribagh, Jamtara, Godda, West Singhbhum, Chaibasa, Gumla, Khunti, Bokaro and Chatra districts, apart from the SSPs of Jamshedpur and Dhanbad.

ADG Priya Dubey has been given additional charge of ADG modernization cum training and special branch IG Prabhat Kumar has been given additional charge of IG JAP.

All the transferred officers have been ordered to join their new place immediately. Those who have not been transferred elsewhere have been asked to join the police headquarters.
