New Delhi, Aug. 2 : The fourth edition of the Tri-Services Future Warfare Course will commence in New Delhi, bringing together military officers, government officials, strategic experts and industry leaders to examine emerging technologies and evolving challenges shaping future warfare.
According to the Ministry of Defence, the four-week programme is being conducted under the aegis of the Headquarters Integrated Defence Staff (HQ IDS) and coordinated by the Centre for Joint Warfare Studies (CENJOWS).
The course aims to strengthen the understanding of future battlefield dynamics by providing participants with insights into advanced technologies, evolving security threats and integrated military operations.
Participants include officers from the Army, Navy and Air Force, along with representatives from government organisations, academia, defence industry and strategic think tanks.
The curriculum covers a broad spectrum of subjects, including geopolitical developments, artificial intelligence, quantum technologies, cyber warfare, cognitive warfare, information warfare, autonomous systems, technology-enabled warfare, grey-zone operations and multi-domain operations.
The programme will also examine future operational challenges across the land, maritime, air and space domains, with a focus on enhancing jointness and interoperability among the armed forces.
Senior military commanders, policymakers, scientists, technology experts, industry leaders and subject matter specialists will deliver lectures and participate in interactive sessions during the course.
The Ministry of Defence said the initiative is designed to promote informed discussions on emerging operational concepts and prepare military professionals to address the rapidly changing character of modern warfare. The course is expected to contribute to strengthening India’s preparedness for future security challenges through greater integration of technology, strategy and joint military planning.
