In an official clarification, police said no blanket restriction has been imposed on food delivery platforms or their operations.
Authorities stated that the confusion arose after the Delhi Traffic Police issued a travel advisory for certain routes in the district.
The advisory was issued to help manage traffic movement amid large public gatherings and prevailing law and order concerns.
It urged motorists to avoid affected roads and use alternative routes to reduce congestion and ensure public safety.Police emphasized that the advisory is intended solely for traffic regulation and security management.
Food delivery services remain operational, although delivery personnel may experience delays or route diversions in areas affected by traffic restrictions.
Officials also appealed to the public to rely only on verified information released through official channels and avoid circulating unconfirmed messages on social media.
The clarification comes as authorities continue to monitor traffic and security arrangements in parts of the national capital where movement has been impacted by ongoing public gatherings.
