Ranchi, Oct 12: Central Mine Planning and Design Institute Limited (CMPDI) has launched a series of student-focused awareness programmes in schools around Kanke, Ranchi, ahead of Vigilance Awareness Week 2026, with the aim of instilling values of honesty, integrity and ethical conduct among young people.
The first programme was organised at Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya, Kanke, on Monday, featuring drawing and speech competitions to engage students and promote awareness of ethical values.
As part of the initiative, school bags and jute bags bearing the theme of Vigilance Awareness Week 2026, “Probity for Prosperity” (सत्यनिष्ठा से समृद्धि), were distributed among students. They also took the Vigilance Pledge, reaffirming their commitment to honesty and integrity. A sapling plantation drive was organised on the school premises to encourage environmental awareness and sustainability.
CMPDI will organise similar awareness programmes at five educational institutions in and around Kanke from October 12 to 16. The initiative seeks to sensitise students to the importance of accountability, honesty and ethical conduct, fostering a culture of integrity among the younger generation.
Vigilance Awareness Week 2026 will be observed from October 26 to November 1. As part of the broader initiative, CMPDI is also conducting a three-month-long Vigilance Awareness Campaign from August 17 to November 16, 2026, under the theme “Probity for Prosperity.” Various awareness sessions and activities are being organised for employees to strengthen vigilance awareness and promote ethical practices in the workplace.
