Jamshedpur, December 7 2025: XLRI – Xavier School of Management hosted its Homecoming 2025 celebrations on Saturday, bringing together 136 alumni for two days of panel discussions, cultural performances and reunions that underscored the institute’s long-standing focus on ethics and social good.
Alumni from multiple batches returned to a revamped campus and engaged with current students through interactive sessions and performances. The highlight was a felicitation ceremony at the Tata Auditorium, where nine former students were recognised across five award categories.
Director Fr S George SJ said the alumni continued to serve as “true brand ambassadors of XLRI”, while Rana Bir Sinha, president of the XLRI Alumni Association, likened the ceremony to “the Oscars for XLRIans”.
The Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to Dr P. C. Narayan, Professor of Banking and Finance at the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore.
The Distinguished Practising Manager Award went to four senior industry leaders: Ramesh M.D., Group CEO of Africa Improved Foods; Mahesh Tripathi, Chief Operating Officer at Royal Enfield; Ashok Ramachandran, Director of Human Resources at the Aditya Birla Group; and Srinivas Reddy Vudumula, COO and founder of Novulis Global Solutions.
The Young Achievers Award was conferred on Pratyush Raj, Executive Vice President at Pine Labs, and Varun Kejriwal, Managing Director and Partner at Boston Consulting Group.
The Entrepreneur Award was awarded to Varun Madan, founder and CEO of Salad Days, while the Allied Field Award went to Sneh Anand Ravi Sinha, a strategic advisor to social enterprises.
Speaking after receiving his award, Vudumula said the institute’s curriculum had played a transformative role in shaping his professional and personal outlook. “XLRI’s curriculum is uniquely designed not just to create excellent managers but to shape better human beings,” he said.
The event concluded with a reaffirmation of XLRI’s mission to develop leaders grounded in conscience, compassion and competence — values the institute says continue to influence its alumni working across sectors globally.
