Jaipur, Feb 8 : A man was arrested on Friday for stabbing a youth in the Bindayaka area of the city during a road rage altercation earlier in the week, police said.

DCP (West) Amit Kumar stated that the identity of the accused has been withheld pending a test identification parade. The incident occurred late on February 5 when Mahendra Meena and his nephew, Rohit Meena, were returning home from a wedding.

According to the police, the duo encountered a man riding on the wrong side of Bhankrota Road near Prabhat Market. When they confronted him, the man stopped and attacked Rohit with a knife, aiming for his neck. Rohit managed to evade the initial strike but sustained multiple injuries to his shoulder as the attacker continued to stab him, causing significant bleeding.

The two managed to escape and immediately informed the police, who rushed Rohit to a hospital. Based on the registration number of the scooter provided by the complainants, the accused was traced and arrested. The scooter used in the crime was recovered from his possession, police confirmed.
