Ranchi, Mar 26: A speeding Scorpio collided with a truck on the Jamshedpur-Ranchi road in Namkum, Jharkhand, killing the driver and severely injuring another occupant, police said on Monday.
The accident occurred when the Scorpio, traveling from Ranchi to Jamshedpur, crashed into the truck from behind. “The driver got trapped in the steering wheel and died on the spot,” a police source said. The vehicle was severely damaged.
Police arrived at the scene after being alerted and sent the body for post-mortem. An investigation into the accident has been initiated.
