Prayagraj, Feb 05 : Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday visited the Maha Kumbh Mela 2025 in Prayagraj, participating in the spiritual festivities of the world’s largest religious gathering.
Accompanied by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Modi took a boat ride to Triveni Sangam, the sacred confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and the mythical Saraswati rivers. Upon reaching the site, the Prime Minister offered prayers standing knee-deep in the water, chanting mantras while holding ‘rudraksha’ beads.
The Maha Kumbh Mela, which commenced on January 13, Paush Purnima, attracts millions of devotees from across the globe. It is set to conclude on February 26.
Modi’s visit to the spiritual event coincided with polling day for the Delhi Assembly elections. The Prime Minister’s presence highlighted the significance of the gathering, which continues to draw global attention for its scale and religious importance.
