New Delhi, June 28: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday extended his greetings to the nation on the occasion of the Jagannath Rath Yatra, wishing for happiness, prosperity, and good health for all. Taking to social media platform X, Modi shared a message invoking blessings from Lord Jagannath.
“On the sacred occasion of Lord Jagannath’s Rath Yatra, my heartfelt best wishes to all fellow countrymen. May this holy festival of faith and devotion bring happiness, prosperity, good fortune, and excellent health to everyone’s life. Jai Jagannath!” the Prime Minister posted.
In a separate message, Modi also greeted the Kutchi community on the occasion of Ashadhi Bij, or the Kutch New Year, which begins on the second day of the Hindu month of Ashadh.
“Best wishes, especially to the Kutchi community all around the world, on the special occasion of Ashadhi Bij. May the year ahead bring peace, prosperity and wonderful health for everyone,” he said.
Earlier in the day, President Droupadi Murmu also extended warm greetings to devotees of Lord Jagannath in India and abroad, marking the annual celebration that draws millions of pilgrims to Puri, Odisha, and various other parts of the country.
