New Delhi, Aug. 2 : Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday congratulated Indian boxer Sachin Siwach on winning the gold medal in the men’s 60kg boxing event at the Commonwealth Games 2026 in Glasgow, describing the achievement as a historic moment for Indian sports.
In a message posted on social media platform X, the Prime Minister praised Siwach’s outstanding performance and said his victory reflected the determination, discipline and fighting spirit of Indian athletes on the international stage.
“Congratulations to Sachin Siwach for this remarkable success in the men’s 60kg boxing event. His historic gold medal triumph in Glasgow will inspire countless young boxers across the country,” Modi said.
