Ranchi, September 9: The Shri Krishna Vikas Parishad Yadav Samaj organised a Krishna Chhathi Mahotsav at the historic Jagannathpur Temple premises in Dhurwa, Ranchi, with a large number of devotees and community members participating in the celebrations.
The programme was led by Parishad chief patron and RJD leader Kailash Yadav. Several dignitaries, including STF DSP Bhola Prasad Singh, CCL General Manager V.K. Ranjan, SDO Subhash Yadav and other public representatives and community leaders, attended the event.
The celebrations began with the lighting of a ceremonial lamp by the dignitaries. Devotional prayers dedicated to Lord Krishna were subsequently offered, followed by bhajan-kirtan and a Bhagwat Katha presented by a Bhojpuri Ramayan group led by Vyas Pawan Rai.
Addressing the gathering, Kailash Yadav highlighted the importance of Lord Krishna’s teachings and urged people to incorporate them into their daily lives. He particularly referred to the principles of Karma Yoga, Jnana Yoga, Bhakti Yoga, equality and fearlessness.
Yadav also stressed the importance of education and called upon members of the Yadav community to work towards achieving universal literacy and educational advancement.
DSP Bhola Prasad Singh said Lord Krishna’s teachings provide important lessons on righteousness and standing against injustice. He encouraged devotees to understand and apply these values in their lives.
CCL General Manager V.K. Ranjan emphasised the importance of public welfare and helping poor and vulnerable sections of society. He also underlined the role of education in promoting social development.
The organisers honoured several guests with shawls and mementoes during the programme.
Devotees were served food as prasad, while meals were also provided to underprivileged people at the temple premises.A large number of women, men, youths and members of the local community participated in the celebrations.
The event concluded with messages of devotion, social harmony, education and community service.
