Ranchi, July 9: Seven year old Reyansh Ranjan from Jharkhand has earned a place in the International Book of Records after setting a new world record in the Child Category for the fastest time to draw a world map and colour all the countries.
A Grade II student of St. Michael’s School, Colambi, Reyansh completed the challenging task in 3 hours, 28 minutes and 14 seconds during a live online record attempt conducted under timed supervision. The performance was evaluated and approved by the International Book of Records, which has issued him an official certificate.
According to the certification, Reyansh created a new world record in the Child Category for the fastest time to draw a world map and colour all the countries, completing the feat in 3 hours, 28 minutes and 14 seconds.
The judges commended the young achiever for his exceptional geographical knowledge, artistic precision and remarkable concentration at such a young age.
Reyansh, a resident of Patratu, is the son of researcher Dr. Rajneesh Kumar and banker Khushboo Singh. His father said the achievement builds on his son’s earlier recognition in the India Book of Records.
“A few years ago, Reyansh created maps of 188 countries, for which he was named in the India Book of Records. This time, he achieved this global distinction by creating accurate maps and flags of all 195 countries and their islands,” Dr. Kumar said.
Known for staying away from television and mobile phones, Reyansh spends much of his time learning and nurturing his interest in geography and drawing. His latest feat has brought international recognition to the young talent from Jharkhand.
