Ranchi, May 22: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday gave a gift to the people of Jharkhand under the Amrit Bharat Yojana.
He virtually inaugurated three modernized railway stations through video conferencing. Under this scheme, three railway stations have been redeveloped in the state. These include Govindpur Road, Shankarpur and Rajmahal railway stations. 57 railway stations of Jharkhand are being redeveloped under the Amrit Bharat Yojana.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated a total of 103 Amrit Bharat stations across the country.

Govindpur Road station is in Khunti district, Rajmahal in Sahibganj district and Shankarpur in Deoghar district.
The look of Shankarpur station has been completely changed. Passenger shed, lighted signage for railway time table, well-equipped platform, underpass, state-of-the-art ticket counter, waiting hall and parking have been arranged in the station. Also, lights have been installed inside and outside the station. Apart from this, foot overbridge, toilet and ramp have also been developed at the station. A new station building has also been constructed. In its new form, Shankarpur station has been established as a symbol of modernity. Shankarpur Halt has been developed as a station as the nearest railway station to Deoghar AIIMS.

Rajmahal railway station is an important railway station of Jharkhand, which has great historical importance. This station has been developed under the Amrit Bharat Station Yojana. In the construction of this station, the rich history of this region has also been seamlessly integrated along with passenger facilities.
The redevelopment work of Govindpur station under Ranchi division was completed in record time. This railway station has been provided with lift, newly constructed station building, developed circulating area with green garden, extra waiting hall and reserve lounge. Also, Govindpur Road has been equipped with modern facilities like developed platform surface and platform shelter.
