Ranchi, September 23: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) carried out raids at multiple locations in Ranchi and Delhi on Tuesday in connection with a major land scam involving Kamlesh Kumar Singh.
Officials conducted searches at six sites in Ranchi and three in Delhi, seizing several documents. The operations targeted properties linked to BK Singh of Kanke Resort, Durga Developers, and their associates, who are suspected of manipulating land records with the help of government officials.
Investigations earlier had identified BK Singh as the mastermind of the Kanke land racket, with Kamlesh Kumar Singh and others acting as his key associates.
In a prior raid at Kamlesh Kumar Singh’s residence, the ED had recovered ₹1 crore in cash and rifle ammunition.

On Tuesday, the ED searched several prominent locations, including Kanke Resort, Sukhdev Nagar on Ratu Road, and multiple sites in Kadru, examining land documents and digital records in detail.
This operation is part of the ED’s ongoing probe into alleged money laundering through land transactions in the Kanke block.
Earlier, in July 2024, the agency had verified disputed land in Chama Mouza, Kanke, including CNT and government property, examining records at Kanke Resort, Kanke Circle Office and recorded statements from local residents.
