Ranchi, June 6: BJP MLA from Panki constituency in Palamu district, Shashi Bhushan Mehta sat on a dharna at the reception of the Jharkhand Bhawan in Delhi after failing to get a room.

He has lodged a complaint with Assembly speaker, Rabindra Nath Mahato, Union minister Sanjay Seth and Chief Minister’s wife and Gandey MLA Kalpana Soren.

According to reports, Shashi Bhushan Mehta had booked two rooms in his name. When he reached Jharkhand Bhawan on Friday, he was told at the reception counter that no room was vacant. Hurt by this, the MLA sat on the ground with his luggage in front of the reception. The MLA opened his tiffin and ate there itself.

The MLA informed the Chief Secretary of Jharkhand about the entire matter. While informing the Assembly Speaker about this incident, Mehta said that the BJP MLA of Jharkhand has been insulted.

He said that he had already booked two rooms in his name. The booking was also confirmed. Then after reaching Jharkhand Bhawan, he was told that only one room was booked in his name. No other room is vacant.

The MLA said that the government has constructed Jharkhand Bhawan by spending crores of rupees. After all, for whom is this building built? The MLA of Jharkhand is being insulted for the room.

He also asked chief minister Hemant Soren to take action against those who are involved in the management of Jharkhand Bhawan, so that the system runs properly.
