Ranchi, June 24: Stepping up its campaign against the Hemant Soren-led government, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday held block-level ‘Aakrosh Pradarshan’ (outrage protests) across Jharkhand.
In the state capital Ranchi, the protest was led by former minister and BJP MLA CP Singh, with hundreds of party workers raising slogans against the state government and surrounding the Sadar Circle Office. A memorandum listing key grievances was handed over to the circle officer.
The protest targeted issues such as increasing corruption, deteriorating law and order, failing electricity and water supply systems, growing unemployment, and the rampant illegal exploitation of natural resources like sand, coal, and stone. The BJP claimed these problems have worsened under the patronage of the state administration.
On social media platform X, CP Singh shared images from the protest and launched a scathing attack on the government.
He accused the Hemant Soren regime of pushing Jharkhand into administrative chaos, institutional corruption, and anti-people policies. Singh alleged that corruption has become a systematic operation, with bribery and misuse of development schemes becoming the norm. Basic civic amenities like power and water are out of reach for common citizens, while unemployment continues to plague nearly every household.
The memorandum submitted by BJP leaders highlighted several specific complaints: corruption and bribery in government offices, pending mutation cases being ignored, registry processes being blocked by withholding files, and neglect of key public welfare schemes.
BJP leaders made it clear that the protest was not just a symbolic demonstration but a warning to the state government. If conditions do not improve, they said, the movement will escalate further and spread across the entire state.
As part of the ongoing block-level ‘Aakrosh Pradarshan’ (public outrage protests), a major event was held in Gawan block of Giridih district on Tuesday. The protest witnessed the presence of former chief minister and BJP legislative party leader Babulal Marandi, who delivered a sharp attack on the Hemant Soren-led state government.
Addressing the public gathering, Marandi accused the current administration of being deeply corrupt and warned government officials to take notice. He declared that the protest was only the beginning, cautioning that if the problems faced by the people are not resolved, if citizens are denied their due rights, and if corruption in government offices continues unchecked, then every BJP worker will raise their voice strongly against the state government.
Marandi’s remarks underscored the BJP’s strategy to escalate its ground movement against the Soren government, signaling further confrontations in the days to come.
