New Delhi, Jan 8: Union Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal will visit New York and Washington DC from 9 to 11 January 2023 to participate in the 13th India-US Trade Policy Forum, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry said in a statement.
During his visit to New York, Goyal will meet with CEOs of multinational enterprises, attend roundtable meetings with business leaders and think tanks, and visit local industries.
He will also attend the Trade Policy Forum meeting in Washington DC on 11 January, where he will hold bilateral meetings with USTR Ambassador Katherine Tai and US Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo.
The Trade Policy Forum is a platform for ongoing engagement between India and the US on trade issues, with the aim of strengthening trade and investment relations between the two countries.
Both India and the US have a strong strategic and economic relationship and are collaborating under various initiatives including the QUAD, I2U2, and IPEF. The outcomes of these visits have played a key role in furthering the multifaceted ties between the two nations.
