The weather office also warned that minimum temperatures in some parts of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry may fall by up to three degrees Celsius below normal, with light fog expected during early morning hours.
Strong gusty winds are likely over the coastal areas of southern Tamil Nadu, the Gulf of Mannar and the Comorin Sea. “Fishermen are strictly advised not to venture into these sea areas until weather conditions improve,” the IMD said.
