Jamshedpur, April 18: Steel’s Tubes Division has reached a significant milestone, crossing one million tonnes of production and sales in FY25, solidifying its position as the most diversified tubes manufacturer in India.
The Tubes Division’s expansive product portfolio caters to a wide array of sectors, including large-scale construction and infrastructure projects such as metros, airports, and railways. It also serves key industries like automotive—supplying to both two-wheeler and four-wheeler manufacturers—oil and gas, and various retail applications such as roof sheds and gates.
Tata Steel Tubes has made considerable strides by diversifying its offerings with value-added products like door and window frames, handrails, and high aspect ratio tubes. These efforts reflect the division’s commitment to innovation, operational excellence, and meeting the evolving demands of the market.
Prabhat Kumar, Vice President of Marketing & Sales (Flat Products) and Chairperson of the Tubes Profit Centre Council, commented on the achievement: “Crossing the 1 million tonne mark is a testament to our unwavering focus on innovation, operational excellence, and customer-centricity. The division has manufacturing facilities across eastern and northern India and has also set its sights on international markets, with plans to expand its global presence. Tata Steel Tubes aims to achieve 10% of its sales from international markets in the coming years.
