Ranchi, April 02: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren assured students that they should only focus on their studies and leave all other concerns to the government, while addressing the Sarhul Puja Mahotsav at the Adivasi College Hostel Campus in Karamtoli.

Soren emphasized the significance of festivals in preserving tradition, civilization, culture, and faith. “Festivals bring enthusiasm and joy into our lives. We must carry forward this inherited tradition,” he said.

During the event, the chief minister prayed for the state’s development, prosperity, and peace, performing the puja with traditional rituals. He also planted a Sakhua plant, urging people to stay connected with nature.

Soren said the next 25 years are crucial for Jharkhand’s progress. “We have to move ahead in a planned manner, keeping in mind the future of the students and taking Jharkhand to new heights,” he said.

He announced the renovation of all hostels and the construction of multi-story buildings at the Adivasi College Hostel in Karamtoli and the Women’s College Hostel to provide better facilities for students.

Highlighting the significance of the festival, Soren said, “Sarhul is celebrated with great enthusiasm every year in the Tribal College hostel campus. Such festivals help strengthen relationships and preserve our traditions.”

The chief minister urged people to remain connected to their cultural heritage despite their busy lives. “It is important for the betterment of future generations. Celebrating festivals together strengthens relationships and brings a different kind of happiness,” he said.
