Ranchi, Oct 23: The Project Clearance Committee of the Jharkhand Industrial Area Development Authority (JIADA) has approved several new industrial projects across the state, with a focus on boosting industrial activity, attracting investment and creating local employment opportunities.

The meeting was held at the JIADA building on Friday under the chairmanship of Managing Director Varun Ranjan. Tulsi Patel, president of the Federation of Jharkhand Chambers of Commerce and Industries, attended as the chief guest.

The approved projects will be established in Hazaribagh and Ramgarh districts, as well as in the Tupudana, Tatisilve and Kokar industrial areas. The proposals cover a range of sectors, including a software technology park, khadi-based natural organic paint, printing job work, a hospital and raw material storage facilities for a steel plant.

Addressing the meeting, Patel said the new projects would accelerate industrial development in Jharkhand and generate employment opportunities for local people.

He also expressed concern over previously approved projects that have yet to receive possession of land despite allotment. He urged the authorities to expedite the process to ensure that such projects could move forward without further delays.

Patel further called for the establishment of industrial areas in Chatra, Garhwa and Latehar districts, stating that these regions had considerable potential for industrial development. Setting up industrial units in these districts would address a long-standing demand of local residents, promote balanced regional growth, create jobs for young people and strengthen the micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) sector, he said.

The Chamber president also appreciated JIADA’s efforts to promote industrial development and investment in the state. Discussions were held on improving infrastructure in industrial areas, ensuring better facilities and accelerating industrial activity across Jharkhand.

JIADA officials, representatives of JASIA and officials from various government departments attended the meeting.

The development is expected to support Jharkhand’s industrial expansion, while calls for faster land possession and the development of industrial areas in underserved districts highlight the need to address implementation challenges alongside new project approvals.
