PM Modi condoles death of journalist Payal Mehta

New Delhi, Sep 20: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday condoled the death of journalist Payal Mehta, describing her as a dedicated professional who remained closely connected with ground realities and brought a strong understanding of national issues to her reporting.

In a condolence message, Modi said Mehta was known not only for her professional commitment but also for her warmth, kindness and personal connection with people around her.

The Prime Minister said her sudden and untimely demise was deeply saddening and conveyed his condolences to her family, friends and colleagues.“Her work reflected a close understanding of ground realities and national issues.

She will also be remembered for her kindness and affection, which touched the lives of many people,” Modi said in a post on X.

He prayed for strength for Mehta’s family and loved ones during the difficult period and expressed his condolences to all those who knew and worked with her.
