Patna, Aug 30: The Bihar government has ordered a reshuffle of several Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP)-level officers, with Anand Mohan Gupta appointed as the new Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) of Siwan Sadar-II and Siwan Traffic DSP Nishikant Bharti transferred to Saharsa.
The state Home Department issued the official notification on Saturday as part of the administrative reshuffle.
Gupta, who was serving as SDPO Hathua in Gopalganj district, has been transferred to Siwan and appointed as the SDPO of Siwan Sadar-II, a newly created subdivision.
In his new role, Gupta will be responsible for maintaining law and order, controlling crime and overseeing policing activities in the Sadar-II subdivision.
Meanwhile, Nishikant Bharti, who was posted as Traffic DSP in Siwan, has been transferred to Saharsa district. He has been appointed as the new SDPO of Simri Bakhtiyarpur.
The reshuffle is expected to bring changes to the police administrative setup in Siwan, with both officers likely to assume charge of their respective new posts shortly.
The transfers and postings were formally announced through the notification issued by the Bihar Home Department.
