NEW DELHI, Aug. 6 : Taiwan-based EVA Air will launch a five-times-weekly nonstop passenger service between Delhi and Taipei from Dec. 1, becoming the only Taiwanese carrier to operate direct flights on the route, the airline announced.
The new service is expected to strengthen air connectivity between India and Taiwan, supporting growing demand driven by expanding business, technology, education and tourism links between the two markets.
Under the schedule, flights will depart Taipei at 1100 hrs and arrive in Delhi at 1535 hrs. The return service will leave Delhi at 1955 hrs and reach Taipei the following morning. The route will operate five days a week.
The launch comes as economic engagement between India and Taiwan continues to expand, particularly in sectors such as semiconductors, electronics manufacturing, artificial intelligence and advanced technology. The direct connection is expected to reduce travel time between the two capitals while facilitating greater commercial and people-to-people exchanges.
EVA Air said the Delhi service will also enhance travel options for passengers flying onward to North America through its Taipei hub, offering seamless one-stop connections across its international network.
The airline’s latest expansion further strengthens its presence in the Indian market amid rising outbound travel demand and increasing economic ties between India and East Asia.
A member of the Star Alliance, EVA Air operates a fleet of more than 80 Airbus and Boeing aircraft, serving around 60 destinations across Asia, Europe, Oceania and North America.
