Ranchi, July 14: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has filed a third supplementary chargesheet against a sixth accused in connection with an alleged conspiracy to revive the banned CPI (Maoist) network in the Magadh Zone of Bihar and Jharkhand.
The chargesheet, submitted before the Special NIA Court in Ranchi, names Chandan Kumar as the latest accused in the case.

The investigation was initiated suo motu under case number RC-05/2021/NIA/RNC.
Investigators have alleged that the organisation was working to revive its old network, reactivate former cadres and mobilise financial resources to support its activities.
Chandan Kumar was arrested from Mumbai in January 2026, and the agency claims that evidence collected during the investigation, including electronic records and interrogation findings, linked him to the alleged conspiracy.
According to the NIA, Chandan Kumar maintained contacts with members of the banned organisation and was involved in raising funds in accordance with their directions.
Based on the evidence gathered, the agency filed the supplementary chargesheet against him.
