London, Feb 20: UK-based audio equipment maker iFi Audio has unveiled its next generation of streamers and DACs, introducing three new models that it says mark a significant technological step forward in digital audio performance.
The new lineup includes the Neo Stream 3, Zen Stream 3 and Neo iDSD 3. The Neo Stream 3 is a high-resolution streamer with a built-in DAC and amplifier, while the Zen Stream 3 is a hi-res streamer designed for use with an external DAC/amp. The Neo iDSD 3, meanwhile, is a standalone DAC/amp.
According to the company, the Stream models are capable of playing high-resolution digital files directly from external hard drives and NAS (Network Attached Storage) drives, offering users flexibility in accessing stored music libraries.
iFi Audio said the new products represent “a true generational leap in their capabilities,” highlighting several hardware upgrades over previous iterations.
Both Stream models feature upgraded polymer capacitors aimed at delivering cleaner, low-noise power. They also incorporate ELNA Silmic II capacitors, which the company says should provide “a smoother treble and more refined listening experience.”
With the latest additions to its portfolio, iFi Audio is seeking to strengthen its presence in the premium digital audio segment, focusing on improved component quality and enhanced sonic performance for audiophiles and home listeners alike.
