Washington, D.C.,Jan 21: In a series of sweeping executive actions, President Donald Trump has taken significant steps to roll back several key policies from the Biden administration, marking the beginning of his second term.

During a public signing event in Washington, Trump signed multiple orders that aim to reverse the trajectory of his predecessor’s policies, including the rescission of 78 executive actions, orders, and memoranda enacted by President Biden.

The set of executive orders covers a range of issues with broad implications for government operations and national policies.

Among the first actions taken by Trump was the rescission of numerous Biden-era directives, a move that effectively undoes much of the previous administration’s regulatory framework. This includes a freeze on new regulations, which will remain in place until the Trump administration can establish its full control over government functions.

Another major change involves a halt on federal hiring, with certain exceptions for military personnel and essential roles. The hiring freeze is intended to give the new administration time to clarify its priorities and objectives moving forward.

Trump also ordered a return to full-time, in-person work for federal employees, reversing remote work measures that had been a prominent part of the federal workforce during the pandemic.

In response to the ongoing cost of living challenges faced by American families, Trump directed federal agencies to prioritize actions aimed at alleviating economic pressures. His administration has pledged to address these concerns swiftly as part of its broader domestic agenda.

One of the most significant and contentious moves was Trump’s formal announcement to withdraw the United States from the Paris Climate Agreement. The withdrawal process will be initiated through official communications to the United Nations, marking a clear departure from Biden’s climate policies.

Trump also issued a directive aimed at restoring freedom of speech, emphasizing the importance of protecting free expression from potential government overreach and censorship. Additionally, he signed an order to end what he described as the “weaponization” of government agencies against political opponents, a recurring point of criticism during Biden’s tenure.

The newly signed executive orders reflect Trump’s commitment to fulfilling campaign promises to shift U.S. policy back toward conservative principles and rein in what he perceives as government overreach under his predecessor.

As the Biden administration transitions out of office, the new orders are set to reshape critical policy areas, from environmental standards to federal workforce dynamics, as Trump seeks to leave a mark on the national agenda.
