Jamshedpur, November 10: The 41st JYOTI Basketball Tournament 2025 concluded on Friday at Loyola School, Bistupur, marking yet another successful edition of the long-running inter-school championship organised by the Jamshedpur Youth Organisation for Tomorrow’s India (JYOTI).
The annual tournament, which celebrates youth sportsmanship, teamwork and fellowship, drew spirited participation from schools across the city.
Mr. Gavin Dominic Xavier, a Loyola alumnus and former JYOTI Champion, graced the closing ceremony as Chief Guest. Commending the young athletes, Xavier praised their “resilience, commitment and love for the game,” noting that sports build both character and community.
The atmosphere was electric as winners and individual awardees were felicitated for their performances:
- High School Boys: Winners – St. Mary’s Bistupur; Runners-up – RMS Kutadih; Best Player – Mohammad Rehan
- High School Girls: Winners – RMS Kutadih; Runners-up – Loyola Bistupur; Best Player – Yasaswi Sahu
- Plus Two Boys: Winners – Loyola Bistupur; Runners-up – KPS Kadma; Best Player – Parth Singh
- Plus Two Girls: Winners – Loyola Bistupur; Runners-up – Sacred Heart Convent; Best Player – Sharon D’Souza
With 54 years of service to youth development, JYOTI continues to promote values of discipline, compassion, and excellence through sports. The organisation reaffirmed its mission to nurture not just champions on the court, but responsible and community-minded individuals off it.
