Weather tomorrow, August 29: IMD warns of heavy rain in Jharkhand, Bihar and Northeast

New Delhi, Aug 28 : The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy monsoon rainfall at isolated places across several parts of the country on Saturday, August 29, with Jharkhand, Bihar, Odisha and the Northeast among the regions likely to see significant rain.

Heavy rainfall is expected at isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Bihar, Mizoram, Tripura, East Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Nagaland, Manipur, Vidarbha, Uttarakhand, Gangetic West Bengal and Sikkim.

The IMD has issued a heavy to very heavy rainfall warning for isolated places in Odisha. Several northeastern states, including Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura, are also likely to receive heavy showers.

Thunderstorms and lightning are likely over Ladakh, Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Chhattisgarh. Gusty winds may also affect parts of eastern and southern India.

Residents in areas under heavy rain and thunderstorm alerts have been advised to remain cautious and follow local weather updates.
