Jharkhand Minister Shilpi Neha Tirkey ties rakhi to Karnataka CM D.K. Shivakumar

Bengaluru, August 28 : Jharkhand Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Cooperation Minister Shilpi Neha Tirkey tied a rakhi to Karnataka Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan and extended her greetings, according to an official release.

The two leaders held a cordial meeting and exchanged greetings on the festival, which symbolises affection, trust and respect between brothers and sisters.

Tirkey said Raksha Bandhan conveys a message of mutual affection, trust, respect and social harmony. She said the spirit of the festival inspires society and the nation to remain united.

In a post on X, the Jharkhand minister said she was pleased to strengthen the bond of love, trust and respect with Shivakumar on the occasion. She also wished him happiness, prosperity and success.

Tirkey also met Karnataka Home Minister Priyank Kharge and extended Raksha Bandhan greetings to him.

During the meetings, the leaders discussed political and contemporary issues as well as the development of the agriculture, animal husbandry and cooperative sectors in Jharkhand.

Particular emphasis was placed on possibilities for technical cooperation between Karnataka and Jharkhand, including the exchange of agricultural technologies, livestock management, milk production and processing, cooperative models and agricultural processing.

The minister said Karnataka has undertaken several initiatives in agriculture, animal husbandry, dairy and cooperatives that could offer useful lessons for Jharkhand.

Tirkey said greater sharing of knowledge, technology and experience between the two states could help strengthen farmers, livestock rearers and cooperative institutions in Jharkhand.

She added that the Jharkhand government is committed to adopting successful initiatives from other states to improve the livelihoods of farmers and livestock rearers and strengthen the rural economy.
