Swami Atmapriyananda meets Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren in Ranchi

Ranchi, July 17: Swami Atmapriyananda, Vice-Chancellor of the Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Educational and Research Institute, paid a courtesy visit to Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren at the Chief Minister’s residential office on Kanke Road in Ranchi on Thursday.

Swami Bhaveshananda, Secretary of the Ramakrishna Mission Ashram, Morabadi, accompanied him during the meeting.

The discussion covered a range of topics, including education, social service, and issues of mutual interest.The meeting was described as a courtesy interaction.

Meanwhile, Congress leader Bandhu Tirkey participated in the annual Rath Yatra celebrations at Late village in Lapung, under the Mandar Assembly constituency.

Sharing his experience on social media platform X, Tirkey said he had the opportunity to offer prayers to Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, and Goddess Subhadra, seeking blessings for peace, prosperity, and the well-being of the people.

Jharkhand’s Minister for Drinking Water and Sanitation, Yogendra Prasad, also joined Rath Yatra celebrations in several locations, including Manjura in Kasmar Block and villages under Gomia Block.

He prayed for the happiness and prosperity of local residents and described his participation in the religious procession as a privilege.

Later, the minister inaugurated a newly constructed Sarna Bhavan near the Kochakuli Sarna Sthal at Talpania in Gomia Block.

Built with funds from the MLA Local Area Development Scheme, the facility is intended to promote tribal cultural traditions and serve as a venue for community activities.

Addressing the gathering, Yogendra Prasad said the Sarna Bhavan symbolises the tribal community’s cultural heritage, faith, and social unity, and would help preserve traditional customs for future generations.
