Jamshedpur, September 5: Loyola School in Bistupur celebrated Teachers’ Day on Saturday with a programme featuring cultural performances and activities organised by students to honour their teachers.
The event began with a ceremonial welcome for the teaching staff as they were escorted to the auditorium in a procession led by school Rector Fr Michael Thanaraj S.J., Principal Fr Vinod Fernandes S.J., Vice Principal Jayanthi Sheshadri, Vice Principal Vineeta F. Ekka, coordinators and the discipline in-charge.
A prayer led by the Rector marked the beginning of the programme, followed by a tribute to Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, whose birth anniversary is observed as Teachers’ Day in India.Students presented a series of cultural performances during the celebration.
A humorous choral recitation highlighted the lighter side of teachers’ lives, while a poetry presentation conveyed students’ appreciation and respect for their mentors.The programme also featured dance performances, interactive fillers and an Antakshari session, creating a lively atmosphere among the participants.
The celebration concluded with a vote of thanks by the Principal, who appreciated the students for their efforts and enthusiasm in organising the programme. He also acknowledged the commitment of teachers towards guiding students and contributing to their academic and personal development.
The event ended with a message of gratitude to the teachers for their continued guidance, patience and dedication.
