Chaibasa, July 18: The West Singhbhum district administration has completed preparations for the Jharkhand Regional Worker Competitive Examination-2024, scheduled to be held on Sunday under the aegis of the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC), with officials asserting that all necessary arrangements have been put in place to ensure a smooth, transparent and malpractice-free examination.
Ahead of the examination, West Singhbhum Deputy Commissioner cum District Magistrate Manish Kumar and Superintendent of Police Amit Renu jointly inspected key examination centres, including Marwari Plus Two High School and Madhusudan Mahato High School in Chakradharpur, to review preparedness.
During the inspection, the officials assessed arrangements related to candidate entry and exit, seating capacity, drinking water, toilets, electricity, lighting, CCTV surveillance, security deployment, barricading, parking facilities and control room preparedness. Centre superintendents and deputed officers were directed to complete all remaining work in accordance with JSSC guidelines.
A total of eight examination centres have been established in Chakradharpur for the recruitment examination.
Deputy Commissioner Manish Kumar said the district administration’s foremost priority is to conduct the examination with complete fairness, transparency and credibility.
“The fairness, transparency, and reliability of the examination are the district administration’s top priorities,” Kumar said.
He instructed all magistrates, centre superintendents and concerned officials to strictly adhere to the Commission’s guidelines, maintain a disciplined and peaceful atmosphere at examination centres and ensure that candidates receive all necessary facilities.
“Any negligence or irregularity will not be tolerated,” he added.
Superintendent of Police Amit Renu reviewed the security arrangements and directed officials to deploy adequate police personnel, conduct regular patrolling around examination centres and maintain strict vigil over suspicious activities to ensure law and order.
“Adequate police force, regular patrolling, strict monitoring of suspicious activities, and effective law and order arrangements will be ensured,” Renu said.
He added that all necessary security measures have been put in place to ensure the examination is conducted in a peaceful and malpractice-free environment.
Among those present during the inspection were trainee IPS officer Ira Jorwal, SDPO Dr. Syed Mustafa Hasmi, BDO Kanchan Mukherjee, Executive Officer Vijay Kumar Hansda, Police Station In-charge Awadhesh Kumar and officials from the Education Department and district administration.
