Jamshedpur, June 8: Three students of RVS Engineering College drowned while bathing in Kharkai river, out of which two died, while one student was rescued. The bodies of the deceased were recovered on Sunday with the help of NDRF and local divers.
According to the information, on Saturday evening, Parth Kumar, a resident of Bagbeda, had gone to Baroda Ghat to have fun with his two friends Shubham Kumar and Shashank on the occasion of his birthday. After the party, all three youths got into the river to take a bath, but due to the strong flow of water, all three went into deep water and started drowning.
A local youth present at the spot somehow saved Parth with the help of bamboo and he was rushed to Rajasthan Seva Sadan Hospital in a critical condition, where doctors saved his life in time. But Shubham and Shashank’s could not be rescued and their bodies were recovered later.
