Ranchi, May 20: Jharkhand’s principal secretary of home, disaster and management department Vandana Dadel inaugurated the four-day master trainer training program on prevention of prohibited drugs.
She said that the state government is serious about the prevention of prohibited drugs in Jharkhand.
“In view of this, Chief Minister Hemant Soren has given necessary guidelines to various departments to prevent the misuse of prohibited drugs. The home department has organized a program to train master trainers on awareness to prevent the misuse of prohibited drugs in the Shaurya Auditorium in Doranda,” said an official in home department.
This training program is being organized till May 23. Experts will prepare master trainers to prevent the misuse of prohibited drugs.
For the successful conduct of awareness programs to prevent the misuse of prohibited drugs, one-day training will be given division wise to train the officials / personnel of various departments / offices as master trainers.
Training will be given to master trainers of North Chotanagpur on 21st May, Santhal Pargana on 22nd May and Kolhan and Palamu division on 23rd May.
On the first day of the program, candidates were informed how to prevent people from consuming drugs and intoxicants? What are the possible treatments? Information related to health effects and laws of drug abuse was given by experts. What measures can be taken at the local level to make awareness effective. What should be the role of SHG, NYKS, youth club and other institutions for de-addiction in the state?
It was told in the program that how help can be given to de-addiction addicted youth.
