Ranchi, May 20:The unveiling ceremony of the life-size statue of Binod Bihari Mahto, the pioneer of Jharkhand movement, was organized on Tuesday in the Binod Bihari Mahto Koyalanchal University campus of Dhanbad.
On this historic occasion, chief minister Hemant Soren participated and paid tribute to Binod Bihari Mahto and said that this day is a day of pride for the entire state and the people of the state.
Hemant Soren said that this university was established with the aim of making higher education accessible and strong in the Koyalanchal region and it was dedicated in the name of late Binod Bihari Mahto. He reminded that in 2014 his government had laid the foundation of this university, which is in front of a grand shape today.
The Chief Minister said, “We have never forgotten the sacrifices of our great men. Every intersection, every corner of Jharkhand bears testimony to their struggle and sacrifice. Even today, statues and memorials of the agitators are being prepared at many places.”
He said that the government is constantly making efforts to improve the quality of education. “Whether it is school education or college education, more quality will be brought in it in the coming time. This will not only be seen but also felt,” said Soren.
CM Hemant Soren finally said that the future generation of the state should be connected with their struggle and move forward on the path shown by them.
